In 2021, the Umoja Community Education Foundation hosted the first Student Project Competition.
We are pleased to announce our winner, Saleh Mohamed, from Southwestern College. Saleh submitted a visual poem titled “Where I come from”, interpreting our current year’s theme: “Our crown has already been bought and paid for. All we have to do is wear it” ― James Baldwin.
